Puppy School North Cotswold
Having grown up on a farm, surrounded by working sheepdogs and pet dogs my love of dogs started at an early age. I use am fascinated by animal behaviour and I can see when animals are happy and calm they can become the best companions. In addition to dog training, I have trained horses using natural horsemanship methods and I also enjoy running cross country with my dogs and with other Canicross runners, exploring the Cotswolds. My house is busy with my two children and four dogs. My crossbreed ‘Paddy’ who is always by my side, ‘Bryn’ a mischievous terrier, ‘Ernie’ a loyal Springer Spaniel and my young Corgi ‘Cwtch’.
My first dog ‘Rodney’ was abandoned in Stow and I took him in, building his confidence to achieve obedience awards, competing in dog agility and qualifying him as a PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog. As a qualified primary school teacher, I am confident caring for and teaching both humans and puppies. I found my Puppy School Tutor training fascinating and I also love taking my dogs to various training classes. I really enjoy helping owners form a close bond with their dogs by using kind, reward-based methods and having fun in the process. I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes. I offer courses at Evenlode Village Hall with small class sizes for a calm environment and plenty of time for one to one coaching for each owner. I offer Puppy School for young puppies and for older pups who have had no training, with SuperPup as a follow on course.
