About Jenny

Having grown up living in the countryside in a household with many varied pets, together with several members of the family being farmers or working with horses I developed a keen interest in animal care at an early age. My love of animals led me to train and qualify as a Veterinary Nurse. After qualifying, I realised I enjoyed helping to teach, assess and train student nurses in Veterinary practice, which later then led onto gaining employment and qualifying as a Further Education Lecturer, teaching on Animal Welfare courses at a local agricultural college for over 16 years, predominantly specialising in Animal Health, Animal First Aid and Animal Nutrition.

I share my life with my Husband, 2 children, Mabel (our Labrador Retriever), guinea pigs and tropical fish.

Since 2017, I have spent some of my spare time volunteering as a puppy socialiser at the Guide Dogs National Centre helping within a team to socialise the puppies at a critical age in their social development, which I find immensively rewarding.

I am proud to have completed the extensive training provided by Gwen Bailey (Founder and Director of Puppy School and internationally renowned dog trainer, behaviourist and author) to become a qualified Puppy School Tutor. I have an up to date Canine First Aid certificate and plan to continue expanding and keeping up to date with my knowledge and to work towards accreditation as a Registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour Training Council.

Class Information

I offer a range of Puppy School classes at three different venues within Warwickshire on different days during the week. Classes are held in Northend (CV47 2TN), Southam (CV47 0LY) and Cubbington (CV32 7LP). Puppy School and Puppy School Older Pup classes are for beginner puppies that have had no training, whilst SuperPup and Puppy University are follow on courses for Puppy School graduates. Class sizes are kept small (Up to 6 puppies on a course) to ensure a high standard, quality coaching and the best experience for all.

I have a passion for teaching, along with my love of dogs and only using positive reinforcement techniques I look forward to being able to help new families and their puppies in their training journey together.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information or help to book onto one of my courses.
