Tip Top Puppy and Dog Training
In an industry that is not currently regulated, I can guarantee that I am appropriately qualified, experienced and accredited to help you and your puppy or dog using positive, reward-based training.
My interest in dog training began as a volunteer for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. I joined Puppy School in 2021 as an Associate Tutor and now run Puppy School as a Full Tutor covering Wycombe and Marlow. I also run a Dog Club which graduates of Puppy School are invited to join and I offer one to one sessions by appointment if there is anything in particular that clients want to concentrate on or if a class situation is not suitable for you or your dog.
I am proud to be a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (01569), a not-for-profit organisation established to promote training skills that improve the welfare of dogs and the competence of dog owners. To become a member, it is necessary to pass an assessment process considered to be one of the most rigorous in the industry. Members have to complete 15 hours of Continuing Professional Development each year to ensure their knowledge and expertise remains up to date and relevant.
I am also registered as an Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council. The ABTC is the regulatory body that represents animal trainers and animal behaviour therapists to both the public and legislative bodies.
I run two puppy classes a week for puppies with no previous training. Graduates of my puppy classes are invited to join my Dog Club where we do something different each week ranging from general training to tricks, games and mini agility. I also offer a four-week Life Skills course for dogs over five months of age that are new to training or need to refresh the basics.
